Who Discovered Silver

Silver has been used since ancient times and as such, the individual responsible for discovering it has been lost to antiquity. Silver was mentioned in the book of Genesis of the bible(Genesis 13:2 is the first occurrence). Archeologically, evidence of silver refining and surface mining date back to the 4th Millennium BC in Asia Minor and some islands of the Aegean Sea where large slag deposits indicate the separation of silver from lead in that era.
